From 0:00 to 24:00 on October 17, 2021, 6 inbound confirmed cases of COVID-19 were newly found in Yunnan Province (4 in Tengchong City, 1 in Mengla County and 1 in Ruili City). 12 confirmed cases were released from hospital after being cured and 10 close contacts were released from medical observation on October 17, 2021. 

At present, there still remain 168 inbound confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yunnan Province. A total of 1152 inbound confirmed cases had been found in Yunnan Province, among which 984 cases had been released from hospital after being cured and there were no death cases.  

As of 24:00 of October 17, 2021, there still remain 168 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1546 confirmed cases had been found in Yunnan Province, among which 1376 cases had been released from hospital after being cured with 2 death cases. So far, a total of 29025 close contacts had been traced and 347 close contacts are still under medical observation.

From 0:00 to 24:00 on October 17, 2021, 3 asymptomatic cases (2 local cases found respectively in the nucleic acid testing  in the isolation spot and in the strict control bordering area in Ruili City and  1 inbound case found in Mengla County) were newly found and 3 asymptomatic cases were released from isolation medical observation in Yunnan Province. There still remain 61 asymptomatic cases (52 inbound) under medical observation in Yunnan.
